How does that go again? You mean you post first, then re-edit the post? Why not just create that link at one go then publish it? I get my content scrapped some times, but now I don't sweat it. I make it a habit to do a little linkback to my original post at the top, middle and bottom parts of my content so that I get link juice back to my site. Once in a while, I'd post a raw text with my URL in it in case the scrappers bother to remove existing links within the post. The effect would be something like what you'd get with article marketing; the more people copy my content into their sites, the more links spread in the Interwebs, which is almost always good for me.
These days, what content is not on anothers site...can you imagine how many complaints google gets? they probably ignore most of them if they ever see them... You should also turn that neg into a positive...post your link/article on his blog linking back to yours....
Is there a link to your blog? I think if each and every post links back to your blog, it may even help to increase your SERP.
I think autoblogging is not something to worry about as long as you get the backlink properly posted. Of course, it would be different if there is no link to you. You must be happy to have your content duplicated. Let Google handle everything for you.
I'm an avid auto-blogger. I prefer software that pulls full articles that include the original authors attribution, but occasionally I use full RSS feeds. As long as you get credit for the content what's the worry? Isn't the point of RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to "syndicate" your content? As for duplicate content penalty, when will folks learn - IT'S A MYTH! There is no penalty for duplicate content. .
Good idea, i never think about it! I will sign up in affiliate and will start doing this http://www.crescentindustries.ca/
Mine get scraped all the time. The only good part is that I'm using a plugin that automatically inserts a line at the end of each article that says "this article was taken from.." with a backlink to my site...so, every time it gets scraped, I get a backlink. I also make sure to get indexed asap the instant I publish an article.
