Im hoping someone can help me figure out the best way to monitor and restrict the bandwidth usage on my proxy site. It seems that the majority of the bandwidth is used by people surfing porn sites. I have monitored the apache logs and blocked the most requested urls, but i am still seeing around 30 gb of BW per day. I rrun this site at servstra on a dedicated server so i should be able to install any scripts. Does anyone have any idea of how i can monitor and restrict the most abusive users? Site is www.proxy7.com in case you want to take a look.
I don't mind people using the site to look at porn. It is when people are downloading 7 150mg files simultaneously that it becomes a burden on bandwidth and starts costing quite a bit. When it gets to this level it is no longer using the service it is ABUSING in. Just looking for some server management advice. Not looking to get red reped just for asking for some help!
