    Hello I just want to ask how to put meta keywords in my website so that I Google will be able to put relevant ad on my site. I'm not familiar on this because mostly I'm using blogs like blogger so I need help with this.

    I have this example but I'm not sure if this is right.

    <head>

    <title>My Website</title>

    <meta name="description" content="My Website Description">

    <meta name="keywords" content=" football, NBA, MLB, Live, Freesoccer, Schedules, Sports, Livep2p, PPLive, Sopcast, TVAnts, Best , Gratis , Free, Euro2008, WC2010, Streams, Cricket, Golf, NFL, NHL, Formula1, Cycling, Tennis, ATP, WTA, Handball, Horse Racing, Boxing">

    </head>

    My website is a sports website.

    Is this right? does meta name desciption necessary?

    Thanks!

    Thats right, you need both keywords and description, the end of the tag is supposed to be /> though, not just >

    Its nothing you should change anyway, leave it as it is and you'll be fine.

    No probs, also, not that meta tags are a massive part of SEO (they don't matter at all with Google) but you might want to make your keyword terms longer and more specific instead of just one word.

    Do you only have to close the tag like shown above .../> or do you also have to have an ending tag - .../></meta> or is the second one here redundent? I noticed that blogger uses xml and is very picky!

    The meta description tag will help a great deal, but I don't think the meta keywords tag is all that important these days. Not many search engines pay attention to them.:)
