Help me :(

Hi,

I think someone has hacked into my msn/hotmail, and has my password. In the help centre it says if I loose my password then I have the option of resetting it either by entering secret question, or by providing an alternate email.

I can't do the secret question, because I didn't enter my real postcode () and I can't find how to do the alternate email..can someone please help me..this is VERY important. I've taken off my paypal from it, but there are other things there that are really important if they go into the wrong hands.

Please suggest what I should do

There isnt much you can do about this... Try to contact MSN to give you an alternative about what you can do.

Next time use a more complicated password that contains letters and numbers, and change your passwords from time to time.

 

Stupid msn will take WEEKS to get back to me..I can't wait that long I need it now!

 

I agree you should contact MSN directly. I'd also change any other accounts passwords that were the same or similar (especially PayPal!)

 

That means that you had to enter the email while making the account. If you can't guess your secret questions there's not much you can do.

 

But where is the alternate email option ?

 

Try contacting MSN through phone support. Yahoo had such thing.

The hacker signed into MSN 2 mins back with nickname "Who Knows my habbo name?"

 

This is really serious...I got an email from paypal saying someone requested my paypal details.. good thing I changed it...but there are otehr things that they could charge my account from.

Please I really really need help

 

contact msn support they would ask u few questions, answer them all they will rest ur password and send it back.

Turn off you computer man, disconnect the internet and format it..

 

first off: do this, as suggested, and get rid of the spyware that's monitoring you!

After that contact MSN! there is nothing much you can do, just wait for msn to reply, in the mean time, think what else the hacker can control from your email id, and change the email ids of those things!

Wow thats sucks. Thankfully I was never in a situation like that. I have about 8 email addresses and I spread all my important stuff between the 8, incase if they get into one, that I won't be at too much of a loss.

 

Did you have a weak password for MSN?

If i were you, change all your logins and make a new email account.

I dont trust MSN, i would use gmail if i were you. Make a new tempoary email account at hotmail, PM me your new email address, and i will send you 4 gmail invites.

Learn how to enter correct info when you sign-up for something. If any one hacked you, you hacked yourself by entering fake information!

yeah you're getting keylogged.

go to soeone else's computer that you know, change all the important stuff.

then scan your computer and stuff, if all else fails, clear your HD and reinstall.

right now, download hijackthis (google it) scan, and post a log here.
