help me with the terminology.

    dear all

    I have a website and wanted to advertise on a popular website so asked them to send me the rates for advertising. They said...

    60 cents CPM untargetted.

    can someone explain what that means?

    I'm sure someone can give you a better answer, but I believe it's $.60 per thousand impressions (times your ad is displayed), and not targetted to any specific pages on their site.

    Yup, that's exactly it, though by un-targetted they mean they won't match the visitors interests to your product.
