Help me with the keywords and meta tag

Hey can anyone help me build a proper meta tag......
i dont know exactly abt the keywords and i was using a meta tag obtained from a popular bloggers site but now its not working and i need a new one as the traffic is just dropping......

Very simple..

<title>Your blog/site title goes here</title>
<meta name="Description"A description of the site/blog goes here />
<meta name="keywords" content="the keyword you wish to use go here"/>

PHP:

Keywords are optional and if you do use them, use them with a ,between,each,keyword

they works good and i use those for my sites
