I am a beginner web designer. Here is my site: www.bigdogcattle.com It is a cattle advertising web site. Can I get some suggestion on the design? Thanks Jamie
You need a little more breathing room. In your navigation on the left side, don't use uppercase or bold. Also, increase the line height to 1.4em or so. Consider reducing the font size to 2em, too.
Thanks for all the sugestions. I have made some corrections in the site. Can someone review and tell me what they think? www.bigdogcattle.com Thanks Jamie
You did well for a beginner! One suggestion I would make is to make the logo stand out better. Also, I just finished writing an article on search engine friendly and user friendly web design guidelines. Here is the link to the article: http://xpirtdesign.com/orange-count...h-engine-friendly-and-user-friendly-websites/
Another thing to note... Remember to take into consideration screen resolutions. Things such as header height and font sizes need to look attractive no matter what resolution your users are using. You might want to consider reducing the size of the header, as it currently takes up more than half the height of the browser when on smaller resolutions.
If you want to create your own web site on the Internet, but have no idea where to start, this article will provide you with the exact information you'll need to get started, including what you can expect to pay to get your website up and running. However, before I begin, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself, and how I got started, so you'll know who you're dealing with....
The logo is nice, but it's too big. Try to make a smaller version of it. Also, put a link on the logo to your main page, in this case (index.html)
