Ok so I have the following site:
    http://www.goodfood-goodhealth.com
I recently had a designer to help me design and upload the template onto joomla. However there were a few errors that I called him back to fix but after fixing those it just created another error so the jist of it is that overall I had to recall him about 5 times to fix minor stuff regarding the back ground and menu bar.

He's a good designer but I'm having these issues and I don't feel like having to keep calling him any more and I don't think he likes respond any more as well since for $50 it's already a good job.

So I need some help with the menus. As you see there is a main menu on the top is there any way to make it bigger? It's cutting off some of the menu? I asked the person and initially he extended it really long and then it got even shorter and he told me that he can't because it isn't just blank space but there are also other things occupying the space. Is there any way I can extend the top menu at all? Just by another 2-3 blocks?

Additionally the side menu is bellow the ads whcih isn't very visible. I want to make it above the ads. How can I do that?
    Thanks in advance.

I'd also be willing to pay for someone to help me fix it for me but please pm me your cost before fixing it if you're looking for payment and I'll also provide you with login info to fix it. I'm looking maybe to spend 5-10 for this since I've already spent 50 on the template and don't want to spend too much more.
    Thanks

Regarding the side menu, you should be able to move it up by going to administrator -> modules -> and setting the order of the "menu" to 1 less than your adwords module.

Have you tried adding menus to the top menu?

otherwise you could use something like firebug to troubleshoot your site.

You should create 2 different menus and style them differently, it looks like the main menu = side menu.

    Thanks for your help.
I've tried that but they don't appear as you see. As for the side menu I've tried that as well but the adwords are inputted through the template and not a module. so Unless I delete it completely or learn to realine it I can't really do anything about it.

For the adwords, you can go into your template file and remove the adwords script(remember to keep a copy of this in notepad), then you should create a new module in the same position as the menu(remember to make you editor = none in your user profile before creating module). You should be able to adjust the positions of them now.

If you want to change the display of the side menu, create new menu and copy the links(from menu to the new one(if they are going to obe the same, like now), you will be able to add a suffix to the new module and refresh the page with firefox+firebug, and go add some css values to your template.css and add the values that firebug gives you. easiest way i can describe it.

same goes for the top menu and firebug
