I just tried creating an adwords campaign. I picked a list of keywords but they all were slapped with a $10 per click tag. I don't believe that these keywords should have been that much. I don't know what's going on. Could I be getting slapped because I don't have a landing page? I'm just directing to the sales page. Someone please advise me.
It is always better to create your own landing page. How much keywords do you have? Are they relevant to the ad copy, each with the other, and your landing page?
Go to your google adwords campaign and click on your campaign name, click on your adgroup name, activate the keywords section, drive your moure over the magnifier just next to your keywords, click on details and recommendations next to the part about quality score and read the two pages about "Ad showing" and "quality score" and see what they think it is not ok.Then post more information here.
Pick a few words that are not getting bidded on so much. And pick some that are quite popular. If you don't want to spend much - even it out a bit. Don't pick all popular words as you'll end up skint. If you have got money to play with it's a different story
I would really try to incorporate a landing page into all your sales pitches, in my experience it really boots your sales.
Yes, directing to the sales page is a bad idea. You need your own landing page Lazy marketers never prosper!
