What colors for advertisments do you think would look good on my site?? SMFtutorials I am color-matching challenged and this is my first time putting advertisements on the web, so I want to make something that doesnt look ghastly, but at the same time stands out and makes people want to click on them... help!! what colors would look good for the google adsense ads?!?! thanks!!!!
Hi friend, You are wrong. Your ads must not stand out because then people will easily know that they are ads. Blend them with the content. Give them the same color combination of your site. This will easily mislead peoplel into thinking that they are real content and will get you more clicks.
ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa so make them look exactly like the background etc... and give a border that might match the site!?!? I seeeeeee thanks for the reply!
yes exactly. its called blending your ads within the site content and layout. you just make your ads look like part of your site content
You don't need to blend it with the colors of yor site, you have to make it on a different color so it will stand out..
ok... so am I assuming this is a subjective opinion thing?? am I going to hear a different opinion from anyone? I am looking for the most proven method of making a little ad revenue... blending in vs sticking out... statistically speaking, which ones produce more advertising revenue?
Stick with Adsense default color layout....majority of visitors or searchers...reference the color blue as link and will most likely click your ads. All my sites uses the default color layout and I tested it against "blending", "ugly" and "bright" color layouts and the the default always gave me the better CTR.
Nice way to get banned. I, for one, make sure people know they are ads. That way people know what they are getting into and will click when they are interested in the ad, not just by accident. Such folks are more likely to convert on the advertiser's site and thus your site will be considered to give quality visitors. Advertisers like quality visitors. Google likes it when Advertisers are happy. Do the math.
