help me understand whats legal

    Ok here it is, my busines is to write funny news and interesting news that i read online on my websites.

    I saw many posts on blog about recent Microsoft purchase yahoo, so are all thsoe post illegal because im not sure who copied from who?

    Anyway, how can i write article on my site about some news i read on cnn as example website...

    Link to the story, summarize the news in your own words, and offer your own commentary on the news.

    Just make sure you stick to the facts and you don't "rewrite" the entire story, because that could get you in trouble.

    Citing your sources is not only ethical, it adds to your own credibility.

    link to your source, write an overview if you like but dont rewrite the whole thing. Make it more of an opinion. Make sure you dont use pictures from AP with your stories they got mad at me for that (I have a funny/strange news blog too http://www.offbeat-news.com/ ).
