    Hey ,

I am fairly new to internet marketing and just created my first official website. I am already familiar with what page rank is but what I need help understanding is the actual order of ranking. For example, I usually see page rank anywhere between 1 and 9, is this the standard range? Also which is higher? Page rank of 1 or page rank of 9? I guess it is important to know because I have seen where some folks say a page rank of 5 is better than 3 and some have said a page rank of 3 is better than 5. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks alot!

I'll just start at the beginning.
It's common check PR by using Google's official toolbar.
The number will say 1/10 for example. It can be zero as well, so the range is probably 0-10.
It can also be "No pagerank information available."
The exact cause and meaning of any value is the subject of debate. It's supposed a measure of importance, so higher numbers are 'better'. Also the values are not updated often.
