I am having some troubles transfering my blog out of blogger.com to Powweb server. No files were uploaded to the blog directory but the web page continued to show a message that it was TRYING to republish.
I read the blogger.com help and it wasn't very helpful.

have a look at the blog http://www.sunandsea-maldives.com/blog/ .

Please give me some hints on how to republish my blog to Powweb (or any other) server..

    Thank you all.

I just moved a blog from one server to another. Here is all you have to do.

Make a backup of your blog and the database.

1.Upload all of the blog files to your new server.
2.Install the database. (If using something like cpanel, there is an "upload database" function.)

If you blog is to be your landing page, then you need to make sure and upload the blog files to your root directory. (Usually the public_html folder)

    That should do it.

When I tried to export all my posts from blogger, I had nothing but troubles with it. I ended up just saying"screw it" and manually pasting over the good posts.

As far as POWWEB, that's a whole other gripe of mine!

Not knowing your existing hosting features, I can't tell you how to do it there.

With mine, I just go into cpanel, download database to my desktop.

the upload it to the new server. All Done!

    I suspect it is either:
    1. The server is too busy or
    2. Powwebs firewall is preventing the transfer. Helpless here..
