Help me to connect my Laptop-TV via S-Video . URGENT!!

    Hello guys,
    Yesterday i bought a S-Video 7 pin cord for 500 INR and since my laptop has got a TV Output,i just connected my laptop and TV with that S-Video Cord,but it does nothing...

    I think,im missing something and i would like someone who has done this from before,can guide me up..


    Kindly help me out,or else,my mom will kill me for wasting 500 INR for just a 15 cm cord...:confused::confused:

    Go to Control Panel >> Display Settings and switch it TV mode by dragging "Screen 1" to "Screen 2"

    Further, you can tweak with setting to automatically switch of laptop display when TV is active.

    Good to know you got it working. A lot of laptops also have a +Function key that will enable the alternate monitor. Might be easier than fiddling around in control panel :)

    My Acer has that function....Fn+F5 but then again it doesn't have S-video!! just a 15pin conn.

    My old ThinkPad has a s-video out...hooked it up to the 35" TV...it was accessed via the display properties however.
