hi, I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread, and for admin, pls move it to the right forum if this is wrong, but as this is about SEO sites , I hope this is the right thread. so, here is the case. recently I ordered a job to someone for them to submit my sites to SEO links. and he promised to put it to the Webstats and Whois submission. So, I paid for the job, and later he gave me these links (note : these are just a few links of lots of similar links and I changed my website name to www.x.com or x.com) : http://ceritahotseru.co.cc/search/asiangirls.gadis-x.com http://ceritanafsuku.co.cc/search/x.com+-+Site+Info+from+Alexa http://blog.kyleolsondesign.com/sources/x.com http://directory.healthhaven.com/ab_exercise_equipment_site:x.com.htm http://domaindb.com/x.com http://domain-daily.com/whois/x.com http://domainmeter.com/x.com http://embarqmail.web02.dev.synacor...p://www.x.com/&start=0&context=search http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/x.com http://esrankingdominios.eu/d http://guldiyar.cn/alexa/?url=x.com http://alexa.116.la/?url=x.com http://alexa.123zz.com.cn/?url=x.com http://alexa.136z.com/?url=x.com and lots of other similar sites. when I checked it, I learned that my domain (x.com) are only put inside all the search boxes, or something for search (and some sites are even invalid sites like the first one above) And I think that this wouldnt increase my backlinks at all, and those links dont even require submitting as they are only for searching right ? But he claims that this IS INDEED webstats submission, and i would get the backlinks soon in a few days, and that I dont understand what is webstats submission is. so, being a newbie with little knowledge in SEO, I'm asking for ur help to tell me, am I the wrong one here ? is it really true that it's called webstats or SEO backlinks and only like that can increase my backlinks ? Pls help soon, cause this could only last for a few days, and decision should be made soon. I have to reject his job if I'm right with a good and solid understanding, cause he threatens me to tell I'm a fraud. or of course, I have to accept his job if I'm wrong, and apologize for my newbie understanding thx guys. hoping to hear from u soon.
How much did you paid for it? If those are auto-appraising sites, there is a script that does that automatically for you to 3,100 sites. I use auto-appraising sites for indexing but not for SEO as most of those sites are do-follow. Hope you didn't paid too much for the service.
As to whether the site gives backlinks. Go to the site and search by your url, a page will be created. Likely this page was already created when the other guy submitted it, and the site is storing your URL and has a way that those created pages will get seen and indexed by Google (sitemap page or something like that). When you look at the created page, see if there is an active link to your site on it. If so, either look at the page source or use a link checker to see if the link is nofollow. if it is not, then you probably have a valid backlink. It's not worth much but, enjoy!
