Help me to choose/find Memory to my laptop please

    Hi guys/girls


    I have no idea what to look at when buying Memory to my laptop, i need to upgrade my Vaio a bit.. Please look at THIS is it ok.. I mean i have no idea what DDR or DDR2 or SODIMM means :eek: what should i look at and what should it be??

    I know the one there is not so expansive and they pay back if it doesnt fit, thats not the issue, i just want to make a good upgrade

    can please say what kind of laptop it is, then people who know about them can tell you which you need.

    You should first know what type of RAM you currently have and the RAM bus speed so when you add a new chip make sure it matches the current one and compatible with your mother board.

    Hi.. there you see that i dont have a clue about RAMs.. I have a Sony VAIO VGN-A397XP laptop. and the link in my first post goes to some kind of RAM that is for my laptop, but i have no idea if there is better ones out there that i can look at

    dear RAM is of two types DDR and DDR2, beter one is DDR2 , its not too costly.....
    after that hard disk memory must be enough to store your data, it may be 160GB or 250GB............:cool:
