Hello guys I am confused in selecting domain for my blogger blog, my niche is on technology my domain name with .com is already been taken by someone, so now which is better other than .com i mean .net, co.in etc My targeted visitors are from india,us,uk....please guys help in choosing the best one...as i am new in this world Note: As i am registering my domain through blogger i have only .com, net, org, biz Thanks in advance
Get a similar domain relating closely to your niche and choose .com, .net or .org think a bit outside the box.
it would be best if you could find an alternate .com name rather than going with a .net or .org. you have a better chance of people finding you. but if the your content is good enough, that shouldn't matter too much.
stay in .com as its the easiest a user can remember. so try another combination of words and see if its available.
it is difficult for me to do that because i have already posted many topics in my current blog. my situation is to choose other than .com so i thought to go with .net or .org, but i think .net suits better which is a substitute to .com, And i think my content is useful to the visitors it will help them a lot....
I don't think .co.in is the perfect domain for an english technology blog. I will stay with .com or .net
I usually dont choose if com or net first but i look for a better name first , get one with a tech on it , I guess.
Many people always use .com and .net in their domains, since they are easy to remember and more popular than any other extensions. You may pick whichever one you like best.
hello guys as many of you suggested godaddy, i am about to purchase domain through godaddy…but before i continue i got stuck in between ….as there are many options in there like ssl certification and domain in private or public selection, domain protection…etc and all these are having separate charges what should i do now......
Include business name into domain name, have domain name as short as possible and with COM. And never discuss domain names you might be intersted in on public
That's probably the annoying part. Well if you need those add-ons, you could go for it. SSL would be best if your site has a shopping cart and needs those eCommerce stuff, domain privacy if you want to keep your registrant info private. I believe they have explanations for each feature and it would be good to learn about them. But since it seems you only need the domain, the rest won't matter if you don't take them. Except if you consider to keep your privacy or something.
