Hi mandoleen, Good question. I also wish some pro could give some advise for the post-newbie community builders. I joined this site in December spend hours/days/weeks reading it. Then I built a few sites and now I'm back looking for ideas. I'm probably in the upper range of what you would expect from sites started in 02/2006. My best day so far is a little over 1000 AdS impressions fully organic. QUESTION: Pros, is this a good start ? Maybe the answer is that you simply need to continue what you started and slowly but surely increase your traffic. QUESTION: Can a pro, confirm that for serious revenue you need in the X or XX millions impressions per month ? In other words revenue is directly correlated to traffic ? Maybe the rule could be summarized (with exceptions of course) by: (Impressions_Per_Month / 1000) * (Base_On_Subject_Between($2_to_$10)) = About_Your_Monthly_Revenue More generaly it could be useful for us (post-newbies), if a serious pro summarized in 90 secondes the key tips that could be usefull to "post-newbies". I not looking for details or hand holding but just the main vectors or maybe even just a little encouragement... ;-) ----------------------------------- On a different note mandoleen, I lived in Egypt for 3 years in Maadi. It was a blast for the entire stay. I just started a "none-profit" site for old friends from Egypt, if you know anyone that went to the French High School (Lycee Francais du Caire) pass the message about: http://www.anciensducaire.com/ Salam, Chris
Then your friend should be able to "pay it forward" and help you - rather than gambling on the goodwill of someone who is something of a net-celebrity and doesn't even know you.
I must say that this is a good to learn many useful (and money-making) things provided one t shift through some irrelevant stuffs.
I wrote a post yesterday that might interest you here. I don't know how helpful it will be for your situation but they are in general useful I think. It might help to tell us what type of website you are going to make. Niches are probably your best bet if you are a bit of a newcomer. You also might want to try things like Adwords as that will help get word out. Submitting your site to directories is only really helpful for getting search engines to spider your site. You also might interest an editor or two, yeah right Good luck!
Greetings mandoleen, I'm just re-reading this excellent post by Shoemoney. It's a little cryptic but excellent none the less: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=15379 Cheers, C.
You don't really need the help of a pro, because the best ideas and guides are already posted here, you just need to read them, and start working.. to be a pro means that you work and make researches all the day, never stop doing it.. there's nothing else that a pro can say in addition..unless he don't wants to sell you an ebook
