Help me Quit my Job in 70 Days!

    Hi Everyone.

I know, I know. The majority of people (or so I've heard) hate their job. So, get ready for it... I hate my job.

I've been there for 3 years, and it's really not that bad, I just know it's not what I want to do. So, that's that. You don't need the details.

I've been working online for over 2 years, learning about online marketing, blogging, adsense, affiliate programs, wordpress. I've made some money online, but not enough to live on.

I was on Digital Point one day, and saw a post that was like this one. A guy was posting his plan so he would stick to it. So that's why I'm here.

I want to quit my job in 70 days. I'd like to walk into my boss's office and give my two weeks notice on May 2nd, and be done with the place forever.

    How shall I do this?

Well, I've just started a new site:

    Real Auction Income

As you can see, it's about eBay, because that's how I started online. I learned a lot about it, and I enjoy writing about it and testing out different ways to use eBay.

All I want from all of you is encouragement. Something to keep me motivated. I'm going to document what I do to build up this site enough to make me enough money to quit my current job. How much is that exactly.

    $46.67 a day.

That's it. Doesn't seem like much. I have a plan, and I want to stick to it, but any suggestions would be great. As of now, I've submitted 6 original articles to Article Directories and I joined a link building network called 3 Way Links (affiliate link). I've made one affiliate sale (which is good, considering the short amount of time the site's been up).

Well, hopefully this will be a good experience. I hope it encourages others to do the same.

And... I hope this is the appropriate section to post this!

A woman called Caroline Middlebrook quit her job to blog and has varied success.

    Link

I have read quite a few of her posts and to be honest they aren't all that exciting but fair play to her for trying.

Why quit your job? Why settle for one income when you can have two?

My advice, don't put all your eggs in one basket, follow your dreams, but leave a safety net in place as well.

Get a Paypal account and get there debt card. Complete $2 dollars offers for people. Pay $2 dollars out of your paypal and instantly get back $25-50 depending on how much there paying. You can also, use GO Green. Basically you sign up for a site and pick a prize. Can be cash, Paypal, ect. You referr what ever amount of people it says to and when you complete that many refferals you get paid. You can pay people to sign up and complete and offer. So lets say you need 10 refferals for 500 Paypal. You pay 10 people 10-20 bucks each to complete offers that are free or cost them 1.95. You can find a legit listing of Go Green offers here: http://kidsofecom.com/viewtopic.php?t=9

It is certainly doable. I was fed up with my job and quit on January 25th 2008. I started to learn internet marketing and now make between $300 and $500 per day after less than 1 month in. Just write out a game plan, learn from others, and work hard at it.

Thanks for all the help. I have a plan that I'm putting into action as of now. I can't sleep, which kind of sucks, because I do have to work 12 hrs today (and the job I'm going to quit).

I'll comment on all of your posts soon.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
i dont know if this would help. First do not quit your job until you are sure this brings income above your current monthly salary. Build as many websites as you can. Get good content for your websites. Dont bother writting everything by yourself. You can get experts to do the writting for you at a price you can afford. Do not give up no matter what. Have you head of "three feet from gold?" the dude went out in search of gold, found it and kept digging. Yes he dug until the gold ran out. Well he kept digging to no avail and finaly gave up. Guess what? the rest of the gold was three feet from where he stopped digging. The person he sold his digging materials to, went back to the same gold place and dug three feet. He met the gold and become a multimillionaire. So my friend dont give it up, keep building your websites and you will get to where you want to be.

Oh if you will like to get experts write good content for you, copy and pat the the link below on your browser to visit elance.

    Good luck.

Well, it's been quite the unproductive week.

Though it's discouraging, I know I can still do it. I just have to stay motivated. I haven't been able to sleep very well, so, that's not helping.

Anyways, thanks for all the suggestions and help. Keep them up.

    Hi KennyK3,
Well, I admire your intention to select your own path. I would love to do the same if I can but at this moment it seems I have no ways out of this and have to stick to my current job. I hope however that I can put all my available efforts and time after work on doing the website stuffs and internet marketing just similar to what you were doing.
By the way, I have saw your website and it looks very cool! I had experiences selling stuffs with ebay before and I would surely visit your web when I have times.
    Good Luck,
    pb
