There is a white colour thing between the fan and processor , My friend removed that liquid and now hid PC isnt starting , is that liquid required to start PC?
Maybe that is thermal paste that is required for proper conduction of heat! I think its necessary for the normal functioning of PC! Not sure though.Any error message that you are getting?
Ask your computer vendor to do it! The paste is not expensive...but I dont know how much the computer guy will charge...Ask your friend not to do it himself if he is not sure!
It's some sort of thermal compound - helps heat transfer from the processor. Probably should still work without it, but the chip will overheat quickly.
You are right! This is to give better thermal conduct between the fan and CPU so as to optimize heat transfer area. You can get it from any hardware vendor, I doubt they would really charge, open up your PC, take out the CPU fan, clean the residue first before applying the new paste uniformly and just put the fan back.
Just buy a new liquid it's max 5$. Wait you said it didnt start, it should start even without the liquid, so first stay to buy the liquid poot it back together and start again if it dosnt start then you must have done somthing wrong.
It's thermal paste dude, placed between processor and heat sink element for thermal connectivity Don't remove it!!
actually without the thermal paste, computer still can turn on and run just it will be hot very fast. I think his PC is not starting might be because he touched other hardware as well. make sure you plug the RAMs in properly, all cable connect at the right place and dont forget to plug the power cable!
lol! that paste is called Heat Sink Paste... thats just a secondary need and have nothing do with starting PC ... Remove the RAM(s) and put it back and also remove the cell and put it back in this will reset the BIOS If problem still persist then contact ur computer ventor
