    Hi,

I've been facing problem with my windows xp for quite a while. Whenever I restart my PC, all the programs stop working or start to initiate like mozilla, chrome, skype, adobe reader e.t.c

I have to re install them back again. All of them work fine until I turn my computer off and then restart it later. After restarting again, I have to repeat the same drill of reinstalling them back again with new setup file which I download because the older setup file also refuse to initiate.

So can anyone help me out on this? I want to know that is there a bug or something else?

    Thanks

When I had XP I had a similar problem, so after doing a system restore to before it started to go wrong, it solved my problem. Worth a try.

Have you tried re-installing the version of the windows you have? Sometimes it just needs the complete installation to overcome any problem it may have in the registries.

thats really weird. Here are my suggestions to keep you from having to reinstall the whole opperating system:
    1. create a new user (account) and install your software in that account and restart to see if it still happens. if not then consider just using that account.
    2. Do this one first actually... system restore to some point before all this happened.
    3. Do you have an updated anti-virus installed? Have you tried running a full system scan to see what it says... do it if not.
    4. If nothing is working then you're gonna want to just re-install windows again, and be sure it's a clean re-install, meaning you formated your drive and wiped everything clean beforehand. You don't want some sort of "repair" cuz those almost never work unless you know what your doing.

Try restore option first also try chkdsk to check disc errors in dos window, if this still does not fix problem you can use your xp disc to repair the os choose repair instead of reinstall this will fix any xp errors and will also keep all your files intact

If i am understanding your post correctly, you are starting your PC and as soon as you get into Windows your My Documents folder opens up and you can't see anything else when you close it.

thats really uncanny. Here are my suggestions to livelihood you from having to reinstall the whole opperating grouping:
    1. create a new individual (calculate) and place your software in that calculate and uphold to see if it allay happens. if not then believe rightful using that chronicle.
    2. Do this one prime actually... group reconstruct to any disc before all this happened.
    3. Do you love an updated anti-virus installed? Change you reliable lengthwise a increase grouping construe to see what it says... do it if not.
    4. If null is employed then you're gonna requirement to retributive re-install windows again, and be trustworthy it's a cleanly re-install, pregnant you formated your cover and wiped everything spotless early. You don't want several variety of "travel" cuz those virtually never transform unless you experience what your doing.

I doubt, your OS is infected with a virus.
Before making any changes, I would strongly recommend to scan whole machine with the help of any good anti virus application.
Its good if the infection is cleared but if not then you may need to reload OS with a fresh copy.
You can scan with the help of MRT (Malicious Removal Tool) as well.

You can schedule your operating system to create restore points regularly. It is definately worth doing.
