Help me out! My site won't verify in the Google Webmaster Tools

Discussion in 'Google' started by libertygone, Oct 31, 2007.

I am using the google webmaster tools and i added a website to the dashboard and it says that it needs to be verified. So i upload the html file that they tell me to create and click "verify"...

When i clicked "verify" it says:

But when i go to my website it works just fine. I can access the website and use it just fine... why would google say the server is down?

    Thanks for your help!

well it works... you should try making the modules same length. I mean those in the right. Google module is bigger and it's better you adjust those below at same size.

looking at your source, it says 'Dynamic Page Served (once) in 0.367 seconds'

is this something to do with it?

    how is your page created?

have you made sites before the same method you are using here and had no problems?

    It's a wordpress blog.

'Dynamic Page Served (once) in 0.367 seconds' is from the WP-Cache plugin.. a very popular plugin that is used on many websites.

    'It's a wordpress blog.'

ok, just looking at all possibles and checking obvious points

only thing i can see is the page does take a few seconds to appear and the message is 'server timeout'

can you try and remove all the content from the page and have it very short?
