Dear all, I have some difficulties with Google Analytics. I would like to know which domaines I use for my website are still usefull, so I would like to track them all separately within the same account. To clarify: My website is example.com - this is the name of the company. I also have domaines registered like: buyproducts.com, productsX.com, productsY.com, etc. These domaines are named after products I sell. If I go to buyproducts.com I am automatically linked to example.com. I would like to know how many people are using buyproducts.com and productsX.com and I would like to measure this within my Google Analytics account for example.com. Could somebody explain me how to do this? Kind regards, Ilse
Create one main profile for example.com and create other profiles for all your domains and place tracking codes on all these websites as issued by Analytics.
You need to place code on that particular domain, but you are redirecting your domains to example.com directly or you are landing your customer first on your buyproducts.com and then sending them to example.com.
Are you using a server side redirect from domain B to domain A? A server side redirect will show the original referrer information. You won't see domain B in GA as the referrer. You need to place tracking codes in the redirected URL. Use the GA URL builder.
If you have already company name account on Google Analytic , then you just need to add more domain on your analytic account . You can check each website visitors by clicking on that domain in your account.
