Hi To All, I have a wrestling related website which is relatively new (You can check my signature link) and just started two months ago. I am planning to do a link building campaign for this website so that it gets more popularity among wrestling enthusiasts. For the time being, I am only thinking of concentrating on article marketing as the PR is high (I am focusing on Ezine only), the outbound links are less than a blog commenting or forum posting and two do follow links are guaranteed from a single article. Now, I want to ask you all experienced webmasters a few things: 1) Am I implementing a right strategy? 2) How many articles (Say 2 do follow links with each article) should get me to PR 1? 3) What kind of content should be interesting enough for wrestling enthusiasts in Ezine? Thanks in advance to all who respond. If this is not a correct section to start this thread, I apologize and will ask the moderators to remove this thread. Regards.
I think you should not put all your eggs in one basket. Using 'just ezine' may not be considered a good strategy. Use other type of links like forums, blog comments, guest posts etc.
Thanks for your contribution to this thread. I will definitely keep your words in my mind when I start the link development next week? Can you answer the questions numbered as 2 and 3?
You need to create articles on many sites as possible. That'll expose your page better to the web. Next you have to make your site appealing and interesting with enough good content that people will come back to your site. I'm also not a big fan of big ads on the main page so you may want to move those to the side or bottom of page for now to attract visitors.
Can you please mention some good article directories with good PR? I have tried articlebase but they don't give do follow links and only produce no follow links for a website.
Did ArticlesBase just go no-follow? I could've sworn they were do follow not to long ago. Bumba1988 another alternative is to create pages on sites like Squidoo, Buzzle, etc. Just make sure to supply unique content, and not to be overly spammy with your links. Here are some ideas from another forum: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/148245-best-2-0-sites-link-wheel.html
I have checked the resource box links and these seem to be no follow (I have used SEO Quake Firefox tool). I am planning to do it for squidoo, but buzzle takes too much time before actually approving you as their writer. The link is proving to be a great help as well.
You may want to advertise through relevant forums - that always seems to help for me. Social Bookmark sites - I only say this if you do it right. Get in w/ a bunch of ppl that have the same interests of your site and then promote it. Press Releases - you could try this. I agree with the one that said that you'll have to try more than one thing. Just submitting to EZA isn't a great ROI.
yes, but, you can try other way to link building, such as dofollow social bookmarking site, dofollow blog comment, forum post, profile link, etc.
I am quite confused how to find out relevant forums on the topic of wrestling. I am searching though but hardly had any luck. I am already using Digg. Also, planning to add stumbleupon and technoratti to the list. Will it be enough? Can you name some free press release distribution websites?
Thanks for your advice. Can anyone explain whether it is allowed to post the same approved content from Ezine to other article directories like articlealley or articledashboard?
