I am a newbie and I really need your assistance. I've read a couple of thread and post here and I decided to post this to get advice from you guys. My plan for now is to be making $500 monthly. I already have a domain name in the health niche. I intend to use it as a review site for health related products that I'll be promoting, once I get a good theme. My questions are these :

    1. I already have a product and about five keywords. Do I build a separate landing page for the different keywords, while I use the main keywords as anchor text in my articles, and then spread the LSI keywords throughout my articles OR do I build a single landing page with one of the keywords, while I use the other keywords as anchor texts in my articles.

    2. On backlink. Let's assume I have four different landing pages promoting different products. Do I have to generate backlinks (ping, social bookmark e.t.c) for each URL separately ?

    3. How many backlinks per URL should I target on a daily basis,in order not to be classified as spam ?

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Your questions (in particular 2 and 3) you better off ask in the seo forum. About the other, hers a tip, to be successful you need to learn to do it and test by yourself. Im sure that a million users will now tell you either one or the other, but the truth is that everyone will be right because all of the menthods you explained can work just fine. Try test the aproaches that you mentioned so that you will learn from experience what will work best for you, your skills, and the product that you have...

What a relief to find someone who actually did their research, read around the forums, and then posted a well thought-out question that people can actually answer.

Not gonna lie, I almost didn't click this thread because I expected it to be another one of those threads that just says "im new, tell me how to make money online".

I'd say the fact that you read around and actually did some research puts you way ahead of a lot of the "noobs" we get on here every day who just expect us to write out an entire business plan for them and probably even do it for them.

Anyway, to get to your questions....

    1. As web_18designer said, you can do it either way. You can either make a single landing page and try to get it to rank for multiple keywords, or you can just make 1 landing page for each keyword and focus that page entirely on that one keyword phrase.

If you're going to take the second option, make sure that you get the exact keyword phrase as your domain name for each landing page. Exact match domains will rank a lot easier.

What I've been doing with some of my niche sites is if the keyword phrase gets 1000 searches or more per month on EXACT match, I'll make a whole site around that one keyword phrase. With an exact match domain and proper keyword density, the sites rank rather easily.

    2. Yes you will need to build backlinks for each landing page. Make sure you use proper anchor text too for all the links you build to each page.

    3. I have no clue and there's no set answer for this. Everyone will give you a different number. With a new domain you definitely want to go easy at first, but as the site ages you can become a little more aggressive. Usually when I start a new site, I wait for it to get indexed completely before I start building any links to it. Once indexed, I try to do maybe 5-10 links per day.

I hope that answers your questions. If you need anything else let me know.

    @J1218

Thanks for your input. I'll test both options to see which I'm comfortable with. I want to grow gradually, don't wanna jump or fly at this stage, cos I don't want to miss out on any important lesson. I have set a low target of $500per month for myself which I intend to increase once I become consistent. I'll surely get across once I need help. Let me get started with the site. Thanks once again.

Please can I have two different landing pages, with the same content but targeting different keywords on my review website ? Please note that the two landing pages will be promoting the same product.

If you're looking to test 4 different landing pages then you'll have to promote each one individually.

I'd suggest you build one or two landing pages and use anchor text links in your articles, thus optimize them for different keywords.

Don't forget to research some long tail keywords for your articles as well ..Use the keywords in your article's titles and thorough out the body of your article and keep the keyword density to maximum 2%. (you'll need to find less competitive key phrases to have a lot more chances to have your articles ranked in the search engines.)

    Hi Guys,

I really can't explain what happened. My review site went live on the 27th of May while I posted (first post) on it on the 28th. As of 29th May, my site was already on the first page of google for my keyword for broad and phrase match. The truth is that I've not done anything like pinging, rss submission or social bookmarking to it. All I did was to add my first post, which was to pre sell a product. I am about adding more content to it. What can I really do to take advantage of this?

I have all in one seo installed on my review website, how do I change the title of each of my landing page ? I want each page title to reflect the keyword for the product that i'm promoting.

yeah as rbf738 says - expect to encounter the Google Dance sometime soon - your site will 'probably' jump way back down the rankings but dont despair - just keep backlinking and it sounds like you have a great chance of getting an easy first page listing - in my experience it should settle down after about 3-6 weeks.
