Hey guys I'll pay someone $10 a month for Search Engine Optimization. I have a great domain http://blackberryvids.com and great keywords in it. But I know nothing about optimizing it. Don't bother offering anyone $10/month to optimize your website. That is insulting. On craigslist I post negative replies to job posts who ask for seo services for $10/hour. Yet you think someone would do this for $10/month? I think the kids working in Chinese factories make more than that. Stick to your partnership offer instead. You might be able to find someone willing to help you for a percentage of your profits. For only 25% you probably won't find any good seo's.

I'll do it. No problem. What we can do is put a front-end on it. Easy. Then we will get your keyword/meta data inline using the referenced PHPBB backend. After that I will help you get some posts on there. That is a different issue monetarily, but we can get the foundation going at 10. If you need more we will find providers that will do it for a reasonable price. No guarantees on continuous repeat visitors, that you cannot control. But we can lay the foundation and go from there. Because... Now I am his partner for 30% because I offered to help him for so "little" money. That's why. I saw this as an opportunity to help a fellow webmaster. I did not think about myself, but more of what I could to to be of assistance. It isn't always about money for me. My philosophy revolves around a cooperative system. He offered me 30% of the business and to me that is worth more than a few hundred dollars just for one job. See what I mean? I have tried to get people to understand the power of what we can do together as a group. The combined talent and experience we have here at DP could move mountains! But they ignore me for the most part. I understand, but we are passing up a real powerful ideology by not becoming a collective at DP.
Sounds like a good idea however when I have worked withpeople at online partnerships in the past there is a tendency by people to try and screw you and cut you out when things become really successfull. It has happened me twice already.
It could happen. Look, that's what business is all about... Risk. You manage the risk by covering your bases. Ive been divorced twice too, does that mean that I just stay a hermit and crawl into a hole? No, I just don't get married anymore and do my business differently. If someone is dishonest, then there is not much you can do to change that. You manage your risk by attaching parameters and boundaries on how much you are willing to lose. Like going to Vegas, you don't go there with your rent money. My main point here is not how I personally do or don't do my business. My point is that if people at DP would truly work WITH each other and not just for a one-time price, then we could move mountains together! The win-win philosophy is a hard sell. People are taught from the gate that there is a winner and loser in every game. Win-win makes no sense. "How could that be?", they say. It is more than possible, it is logical. It is God's will for us. Many don't believe in God, so there lies the problem. By the way... I talked to this young man for over an hour. A nicer guy you will never meet. Real Salt-of the Earth kind of guy. Hard working, grateful, and gracious. Should he steal from someone I think his conscious would hound him forever. He didn't even want to rewrite articles. Neither do I, of course, but it is one of the things people do today. All he wanted was a real website instead of an Adsense trap. I do no more than consult at the moment. He is doing the footwork right now. Very honorable person. Now... I want to make an update to this because I goofed. The 30% deal is a different person. I have had a lot of offers lately and confused the deal. Still, this is an honest appraisal of this mans character. Thank you.
