Help me on my PPC Campaign...

    Hi,

I'm about to start my PPC Campaign in a week from now, I'm still studying how it works. I do have a product now that generates decent amount of traffic every day, and I want to add PPC as another source of traffic and hoping to get sales as well. I've heard that PPC is a quick solution if we want to generate instant traffic and result.

Can you give me some advice before I start my PPC Campaign?

    Thanks in advance.

Read the entire tutorial that Google Adwords provides very carefully before you begin. That's it.

It always depends on your niche, competition and available budget. Start slowly, with lower bids and less keywords. Do not try to build huge campaign before you will learn the basics. Find your top keyword (with high traffic volume) and look for long tails (adwords.google.co.uk/select/KeywordToolExternal). Download AdWords Editor, make a new draft campaign and build structure of your campaign. When you are searching for new keywords, remember to search for negative keywords as well.
Always use more then one ad copy, test 1 – 2 weeks and change/edit.
Don’t run everything at the same time – test one thing for a week minimum! Do not make too quick changes, remember you can have performance gaps – always look on averages. Run daily, weekly and monthly keyword reports to have good understanding of your campaign.

If you have problems – PM me;)

Whether Google Adwords will work for your site depends on what your website is about, and how much is the cost per click of keywords relating to your website (although this is linked to the value of a conversion - if you are selling a high-priced product through your website, or have a high lifetime customer value you can afford to pay more per click).

Use the Google Adwords tools (https://adwords.google.co.uk/select/KeywordToolExternal) to check a few related keywords in terms of the estimated cost per click and traffic (you'll need to change the columns displayed to view the estimated cost per click). If they're all several dollars per click and the value of your customer is only a few dollars, it may not be financially viable to use PPC.

Bear in mind that the Cost Per Click figures are only estimates and often you will end up paying much more. The only way to know for sure is to set up a campaign and test it, but bear in mind you can run up costs quickly.

Sooooo many factors to take into consideration. If I were you, the first thing I would do is use the Google Keyword tool and look at:

    traffic for your keywords
    estimated bid amounts
your conversion levels from your site

From these you should be able to form a good idea of whether your market is profitable for you - bearing in mind:

working on it to get a higher QS will make you more profitable
conversion levels for exactly the same site can be less with PPC than natural listings (up to around 30% less conversions)

Always test with 10 to 20 keyword then slowly add more keyword if not you will burn a lot money unless you have big budget.

Really? I know I can learn it by paying someone who can teach me. However, of course I don't want to waste money by just learning it, I mean, I know the basics, I just want to learn the advanced strategies to maximize the campaign.

Thanks anyway for bringing that up, good to your buddy that he got the results that he want.
