Could you guys help me get some money going in my forum, i hear people make $$$ with forums, and my sites been set up for a few years, and i decided not to put ads on the forum, but now i'm thinking otherwise. forum is in my sig any help would be great, positioning, methods which work for you etc.
Well, try a top banner ad just below the check out blog! and u can use adsense or adbrite, both have its own advantages.
It is important to vary ad positioning on forums as regular users rapidly become ad-blind. Try the banner, or 2 x 250 blocks at the top, but also experiment with other positioning. It's a tentative line to walk because you do not want your ads to be too imposing, yet you want them to be noticed.
