I stumbled onto this site today and have spent the last couple hours thumbing through some threads. What an excellent resource! I am planning on maintaining an active membership on this site to suck up all the knowledge I can and hopefully give some back in return. My scenario: My website http://www.myxspy.com is a tracking script for the lesser known Xanga web-blog community. At one time the service reached a self-implemented cap of 15,000 users and had a database of over 2,500,000 logs. Since facebook has gone public and the ever increasing popularity of myspace, I've lost some traffic but I still do ok with the website. My fear is that it is slowly going to die and I would like to try and monetize it in any way to take advantage of the traffic before that happens. Adsense is not an option since they canceled my account over a year ago due to me soliciting clicks from my users. I guess I should have paid more attention to their TOS. Basically I would like to know of any affiliate programs or SEO tips I could use to regain some popularity over the other competing Xanga Trackers and to target what appears to be a younger Asian demographic.
I would like to do a little of both, actually. I'm currently running ads from ValueClickMedia which generate, on average, around $140 a month. This is largely due to impressions, but I also get some clicks on the ads themselves.
