8000 visitors and only $2 daily revenue too small. You should change your ad placement. This is very important for improve your revenue and ctr.

    Hey!

Great looking site, easy to navigate, easy to read, and well presented - something many other sites fail to achieve in one way or another! For hand coded from scratch, it's well done. Kudos as well on not overrunning the site with ads; sites likes these these days seem to just utter forth freely with an overflow of inundating ads that make me want to close it faster than most I do most people's Myspace profiles! :p

As others have said, I would think with 8k UV/day, you'd be more at the 30-50$/day target level with optimization and placement! This not to discourage you, but to try to help you get a good feel for what's realistic and achievable!

As far as your ad placement goes, here's some tips from my experiences, as they relate to your site:

    - As others have said, I am betting your adsense link color is hurting your CTR, since you don't have anything else with red links on the site. I would say, try to keep your link colors the same as the context you present them in, i.e, black links if you're going to put the ad unit on the left, and blue links if you put the ads in the middle.

-Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm betting the ad block at the very bottom of the first page probably makes you about 0$. IF people scroll down that far, they're probably not super likely to click on it. Try moving it up and interspersing it with your updates/blog posts, for example:

    --blogpost--
    [ad unit ]
    --blogpost--

I have found this is an incredibly effective way to get clicks while not making the ads too obnoxious.

    - If you haven't already, maybe try using the 4-link link unit instead of the 5-link one - it seems like sometimes, and in this case, the 5-link unit kind of squooshes the ad text, making it seem less clickable/readable.

    - Another way to incorporate the ads within the content pages you have is to put an ad block in the middle of the resource tables you have, for example on your "Display Pictures" page, you could end the table after the "Funny" category, put an ad block there, and then continue the table with "Moods:Angry".

    - While I'm loathe to say so, I am generally guessing your 2$/day result is that you don't have enough ads. Adsense will let you put up to 3 ad blocks/page, but you're only using one, in a generally inconspicuous place (As aforementioned!) Theres quite a few other ad types you could probably include without overwhelming the user or making the site look bad -for instance, I bet if you even just included a single vertical skyscraper banner on the left side under the "users online" counter, or even better on the right side at the very top (push the 'affiliates' section down a bit), you'd double or triple your income right off the bat.

    - As others have mentioned, the "Square" ad blocks somewhere in the middle of the page tend to do quite well. If you haven't already, try experimenting with these - finding a way to include them without making them too obtrusive would likely greatly increase your income if done properly.

I think that's all for now, hopefully these tips give you some ideas - feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. :)

    -T

If you are getting 8000 uniques a day... I think you can get much more than 20$/day

ya the ads seem a bit hidden. i would blantly put them out there and make them look different then page so it doesnt affect TOS for linking.

With my blog i always used a white ad box on blue pages and it looked all right really.

there isn't enough ads for this aim. i saw a link unit and a 468x60 banner.
put a 336x280 top of main content. you can add a skycrapper to the left menu as it's shorter than right one.

hi abbeh, with that amount of visitors, you should have generate average $ 10 per day , after going trough your website, here are my suggestion for you...

    1. use Large Rectangle (336 x 280) or Medium Rectangle (300 x 250)
    2. Make the color match with your website
    3.use high paying keywords
eg: keyword -> "Windows Live Messenger 2011"
    - msn messenger 9.0 $2.69
    - windows live messenger mobile $1.74
    - windows live messenger login $1.66

here is my first blog hXXp://kaitorword.blogspot.com , it not have specific content but still give me a little of $$ - hope it will give you some idea...

I would recommend using a 336X280 ad below your post titles. I think it would work better. I can make a $1 a day with 10 unique visitors so your site has major potential if you are getting 8K visitors a day.
