Hello Experts, please help me in posting to craigslist i tried everything to avoid ghosting only 3ad of my is live and around 50 is ghosted : i tried: 1. changing Ip address as i purchase IPRental 2. clear cookies with every ad 3. keep title and ad description different 4. post every ad 15 min gap 5. use different email for every ad(gmail) 6. use different cities to post(Not US) 7. i want to promote massage business so i posted in services > therapeutic but no result every ad i posted is ghosted please help!!!!
go and try to post a half dozen, entirely different random ads. not a word of similiarity. just complete jibberish. if these ads go live you know it is an issue with your ad text. there's a chance you may be using banned words or phrases. this i find is the obstacle many people get hung up on. try setting up a brand new email for posting from. if you've been posting a long time from one email this could be an issue. there's also a good chance that if you're purchasing ip proxies that they or their range may already be banned. i went through many sources for exclusive proxies before finding one that was solid.
it might just be the category since massage is kind of seen as an erotic service although its not sometimes people might ban it maybe competitors also
like i said, try making the posts with total gibberish or random jabber. if the posts appear, you know it's in your post content and you can experiment from there to target the cause within your posting...
IP rental might be your problem. When I first started posting on Craigslist I used HidemyIP and got ghosted often. You have to understand that craigslist may know what IP blocks IPrental and hidemyip use, or it could also be that too many others on those services have abused those specific IPs before. Now that I have DSL and know how to make unique ads every time I rarely get ghosted. The 15 minute gap is absolutely unnecessary. I've read it around but its superstition.
what's worse? wasting a few posts off to find out what's wrong? or never getting an ad to go live because you refuse to test like someone with some common sense? craigslist is far from easy, if you aren't willing to invest some time and do some testing you might as well quit now.
Big picture: Those who go to Craigslist for their needs ignore ads they see that look like marketing. It's not the kind of place where people go "Oh let's go to the mysterious site on this mysterious person's ad that they post ten times a day for months in every city! Let's do everything they ask us to!" It's just the wrong crowd. You can get clicks and you can build some numbers, but the ratio of their sophistication in most of the cl cities to how unsophisticated you need them to be for any results is pretty clear. If you spend enormous amounts of time trying to beat their system you've got your priorities messed up. You need another perspective on what you're trying to accomplish.
It might be that in every ad you post the website you are sending them to might be the same. Try setting up redirect links that are different that take them to where your offer is.
it is better dont use any software as i test many thinks i came with one point dont use same IP in hosting Image,making new email a/c beside you should make your ad unique by making symbols with keyboard like alt+3(from Num keys) and alt+1,2,3,4,5,14,12 so on......... thanks
It almost doesn't make sense to post on craigslist anymore as they have made it very difficult to post more than a few ads a day. Especially now that most of their sections require you to have an account to post. I got around the problem by getting an extractulater cl. It has been far better for me as you can go direct to the source(posters) instead of trying to waste time convincing posters to view my ad.
I have hidemyip basic as well and my ads get ghosted 100% of the time. How does having DSL help change your IP?
