Dude, hire some paid posters and add more forums / child forums Personally I hate free forum software too, but sometimes people can't afford anything else. Is that Joomla you're using?
20k is aiming way too high... even 10k... unless you have an amazingly high budget. For your site, I agree: start off w/ paid posters (people don't generally join inactive forums) this will help you start off..
