Hi, I am unable to increase traffic to my website. SEO is taking time and I keep losing ranks everytime i get into Google, probably again for the lack of traffic. Please help me and suggest ways to increase traffic to my website. Thanks
Might help if you give people somethign to work with - for example what have you tried so far? PPC? Article Marketing? Banner/adverts on other sites? Other things like do you have a budget, or time constraints? Probably a good idea to lay everything out if you are looking for help, as right now the question 'how do i build traffic' is rather a large one that will take more than a few posts to cover!
Thanks for the reply. As you might have seen the website already. It is a free movies links website. I have tried out Twitter (@thefilmwall), Youtube (got banned a few times and then stopped), Facebook, and a few others not worth mentioning. I do have a good budget and looking at a 15 period to start improving traffic and 2 months to get top 10 rank for the main keywords on google. Let me know if you would need anything extra.
Have you tried any PPC? If you have the money to pay for advertising, this may be the way for you to go. I looked at the site and it looks fine from 1st glance, but I don't know for sure as I am restricted from watching any of the movies because of copyright laws in the U.S. Article marketing about movies would help, and joining "movie buff" forums would help too. Use the link to your site in the signature link, with something like "Watch all your current movies here free" or something to that effect. Find movie forums with a large active following that allow signature links. Look for movie bluff blogs where you can participate in discussions and leave the link to your site. Put up a Squidoo lens and a hub page about movies with links back to your site. Put up a blog about movies that link to your site. All of these methods will work. Hope that helps.
Article Marketing is Awesome! And is very inexpensive and cost effective. It helps with traffic now and traffic later. The traffic later will be more organic than ever. Press Releases are a Great way to go as well. We could help you with this, if you like.
The entertainment industry is pretty tough for sure. Your niche is a major one and ranking for those top phrases will take time and constant work. And then constant work to keep them. All of the above mentioned will help and will probably Be Needed for hitting "online movies", "free movies", and related. I noticed that I could put a long tail phrase on Yahoo Ads and Google would rank me for this in their organic returns if competition level is low. Target enough of these types of phrases and they add up for a cheap price. You have the same problem I have with onsite SEO. I'm having my site redesigned so the spidered text makes sense and not jumbled. (I am not associated with them) => http://www.webconfs.com/search-engine-spider-simulator.php Keep pushing and you will get there. Best of Luck!! HCG
That is because your site is linking to copyright protected material. And because your providing a link, you are promoting copyright infringement. Google takes this issue very seriously. I look for google to delist your site, delist all of your pages and finally ban your site - unless you stop providing links to copyright protected material. Its doubtful that you can do anything to increase your ranking in google, or improve your traffic because of what you are promoting on your site. In the google forum here on digitalpoint, I have seen lots and lots of sites like yours that have been delisted and banned. And then the owner of the site is wondering what happened. Lets review: Your providing links to stolen, copyright protected material. Google takes that serious and does not like that kind of stuff Expect your traffic to drop until your finally delisted, and banned. One last question. Do you have permission to redistribute those videos? If the answer is "no", then you have your answer as to "why" your traffic is dropping.
Thanks for all the replies and advices. I got a few hints as what I can do to increase traffic. @kev .. i would like your views on "watch-movies-links", "theonlydevice" to name a couple.
