Hi all, I thought of owning a website and i dont know the procedures to register a domain and the steps to construct the website. Please help me with your suggestions..
For building the website you want to learn html and CSS. Have a look at www.w3schools.com they have some good tutorials.
for having a website you need: • a good idea • domain name • web host • some html/php skill or at least a simple program which doesn't require any knowledge for creating webpages. • ftp program for uploading the files into your host
very simple if you have papal then u can buy any domain in sites like godaddy.com , name.com , namecheap.com , dynadot.com etc and after the domain registration try to host with some good hosting company and make money
If you do not have adequate HTML / CSS knowledge, you can also opt for a website Builder packages. It is relatively easier to do make the website using these builders. However, the scope becomes limited as you have to choose from templates..So once you have your Domain name and hosting sorted..You can look at this option.
you can hire webmaster ,also some websites provides the website making tools which are extremely easy to use . and for getting domain you can use your credit card or buy through paypal.
As of i see from your point of view, i would recommend you to firstly have a spectatorial experience about how a site is ran as you are sure to go in loss if you just start with no basic knowledge. Here is what i would like to get you started in short... 1. Domain = Website link via which you connect to it. Godaddy/Namecheap/Dynadot/Name and lots more sell domains. 2. You will need web hosting from a company for your website. They have different rules. Ask the hosting staff before you purchase the hosting and tell them what sort of site you are making. Or else you'll loose money as it will be stated that any content going against the rules wouldn't be receiving a return. 3. Nameservers = A domain has nameservers, you have to point them to the hosting nameservers AFTER your account is created by the hosting company. They say it will take about 24 hours to 48 hours to change them but they normally get changed in about 6-12 hours. If you have any other queries, post them and someone will help you out.
