Your promotion technique is good, but it's not enough and your prices are too high. Try putting your pricings as 8.99 per submission or something like that. It's better for a new directory. Also don't just submit to paid directories as I saw you do. Buy signatures on forums, buy links in related websites and sponsor free projects. If you want more details, you can ask here.
Thanks for you feedback, the prices are not going down they are going up, I hade more submissions than what I was expecting at these prices, they are very cheap for the quality of service I offer, very different from 95% of the directories out there. The prices also didn’t put the spanners and MFA on the run like I wanted to and had to refund several featured and regular links. I see you didn’t look at the back links structure more than 60% of my links are from related sites not directories. Buying signatures it’s a good idea, I am looking for some interesting ones.
Better offer free submission when the PR is lower, and after that you can charge for pay per inclusion. Or people will just visit your directory and not submit to it.
I can not offer free submissions it takes me around 20-30 minutes reviewing each site, making a custom description, putting the link inside the review etc. I can not do it for free, if i had one of those directories that they only hit accept and don’t even visit the sites I could do it. I want a very high quality low populated directory probably with only 1 page for each category, so I don’t mind people not submitting.
