It will differ from forum to forum. Just do an inspect on the signatures of existing members and see if the nofollow attribute has been added.
You can use a specialized tool for dofollow/nofollow checking, such as the dofollow extension for FireFox.
I suggest you try to post to free ads online advertising forums, type that in google, you can start posting your links, and create signatures without problem! Enjoy
I don't think forum signatures are the best way to go with your linkbuilding, however, should you choose to do so, don't forget to be active on these forums to get people to actually click on your sig, only then will it be worth it... But that's just my 2 cents.
