Can you share the category name please?

May be I try wrong categories.
Any category advise from any DP user will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

The best thing is to submit it frequently (Fortnightly) in diffrent categories. However, it all depends on your luck. Still getting listed in DMOZ is always better.

Some of the worst advice I've read. Simply following their guidelines is sufficient.

DMOZ takes ages to act. there is one quality way to get listed asap though. Get in the top alexa 1K.
If not the bad way- bribe a DMOZ editor

Somebody stop shaking the idiot tree.

In 6 years of editing, not once did alexa factor in.

When an editor does decide to look at the site suggestions in a specific category (and they certainly have no obligation whatsoever to do that), the first thing they look for are submissions that have a proper Title and the submitter has actually gone to the trouble of trying to write an ODP compliant description.
    http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html

They don't actually look, such submissions stand out on their own and attract an editor like bees to a flower.

The next thing they look at is the placement of the site, does it belong in the category. If it doesn't, they'll send it to the correct category and look at the next site. The site sent, will wait for another editor to work in that category, or if this editor works there, till he gets around to working in that category. He may have many categories, so that might be awhile.

The next thing an editor looks at is the actual content that's on the site. I don't mean style, design, PR, traffic, whether you're a good guy or not, that's all crap we're not interested in. We're looking for "unique", "one of a kind", "interesting", "useful" information that no other site in that category has. Our goal is not to list every site that's available, but to only list sites that will make the category a valuable resource for the information seeker.

Your opinion doesn't matter, only the editors opinion matters.

You have no rights, you have no "turn", you have no say. You or someone else "suggested" a site to us. We are under no obligation to use or even look at the suggestion (editors have many sources, your suggestion is just one of them), but, if we do look at it, it's either one we need for the category or it isn't. What you want is immaterial, only what we want matters, and that's because we (the editors) have the responsibility of building the category, and we are spending our free time doing it. ;)
