I am a new adsense user and a new member here. Please can somebody clarify the following for me. I dont seem to understand a lot of the rules. 1. Would it be violation of Adsense rules if I promote my site via E-mail? what are the promotional techniques allowed by adsense. are we allowed to promote our site at all. 2. Is opening our own website many times thus causing page impressions to increase against adsense rules? I never click on my own ads 3. If I open my pages from where they are saved in my hard drive while connected to internet (after adding the adsense code for the purpose of testing) will it be violation of rules? 4. Can we place ads on sites under construction? 5. Can I place ads on a page that only has you tube videos. Thanks in advance. Dinesh
i don't think your breaking the rules by doing any of those. promoting your site is common practice. you have to do that in order to increase traffic to your site. opening your site many times does not increase what you earn from Google. its the the number of clicks on those ADS that pay off. well those are some of the points i had to iron out. guess other guys can help me out with the rest.
1. You can promote via email. but never put ads on emails. 2. You shouldnot refresh it too often or they would ban your account 3. As said, you shouldnt reload it too often 4. No, you should not. 5. Sure, you can,
cormar and mabsj2, thanks for your replies. They were of great help. cormar, just another clarification you said our sites can be promoted via E-mail. Is it ok if my webpage opens from a link in an email message. As I remember reading somewhere that it was not allowed, but not sure if it was for adsense or for someother. And about pages with only youtube videos not allowed by adsense, the question in the thread below confused me http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=690473
Be careful of promoting your site via email. Sending an email to a few friends is fine, shotgunning 500,000,000 emails to everyone on the internet is spam, and that will get you banned..
I just finished one of my blogs where I put in you tube videos check it out and let me know what ya think. incometaxesillegal.blogspot.com I also put a voting poll there. Thanks Mike
Yes. I think there's some confusion with the adsense rules and regulations. G just doesn't want you clicking on your own adsense nor marketing your adsense in order to generate clicks. They've been pretty consistent on detecting fraud and fraud activity. No worries, really.
