Help Me Find My Niche

I want to start a blog but I'm not sure what I should blog about. I had the idea of either blogging about technology, comics, and other geeky stuff  or a blog about TV Shows. I can't choose between them because I love them both very much. I feel like I would run out of content once the TV shows go off during the Spring. Do you think the content would be too limited? I also feel that there are a lot of technology blogs around, but I plan to make mine humorous and with a female type prospective. Which niche should I choose?

I think you can create your blog on TV Shows. TV Shows theme is not bad but target all type of shows by that visitor will visit your blog again and again.

You need to think about what you are going to enjoy writing and get most satisfaction from. Also you need to think about how your blogs will come across to the reader as you need to engage with them so whichever niche you think you can do it better with, choose that.

With regards to the TV shows - when the shows stop in Spring you can have a 'vintage' section, where you look at old shows, shows that are not on the air or even blog about 'what if' episode ideas and maybe ask readers what they want during this time.

    Hope this helps.

You can always run a blog with multiple topics. This way you have flexibility. My blogs categories are Cars, Entertainment, Music, Girls, Technology, Colleges, Sports, and Random. It pretty much gives me the freedom to blog about whatever I want.

Write down 5-10 categories that you would enjoy writing about; and can find consistent content on a daily basis.

In the long run you should build up a lot of posts to really score some traffic. After your first year I suggest trying for over 500 posts.

Maybe you should be more specific and write about TV series, Talk shows, reality shows as TV shows are too general and include everything. Also you will face a fierce competition taking too general topic.

TV shows will do, and i dont think they are gonna out of run. you can target the normal TV viewers, they will most likely click on ads and converts as well.

If you are interested in both topics, then go ahead and blog about both. You can either have them in separate blogs or combine the two. As far as blogging about TV shows during spring, you can post recaps or reviews of the episodes of your favorite shows. It's always important to keep in mind to blog about things that you are naturally interested in. This will help make blogging fun.

Think about how you can add something different. Apart from being funny... do you have any inside knowledge that others don't have? or greater understanding? or do you tie them into a broader perspective?

Blog about both topics isnt a good idea if you don't have money to outsource some things.
Would content be limited if you take TV Shows? I don't think so.
I'll answer on your question. Sit down and write down 20 first ideas about future posts in TV shows. If it takes you 30 minutes then you should start your blog.

I think you should choose TV shows cause people are more of the entertainment and what's the latest trend on the industry.

I would go with the idea of blogging about all subjects that you find interesting. Just make sure you have enough time to put some real work into your ventures.

I think you can blog about both topics, so long as both topics are something you are knowledgeable about and have a natural interest in. You would also need to produce your own content. There won't be a problem if you are outsourcing it since you can have articles on different topics written up (It is the number of articles that you are charged for anyway and not the topic) but it's still best to write on your own.
