Help me editing footer - phpBB

    Hi there,

    installed a phpbb forum to one of our sites. When a new style has been added to the forum, the footer shows two lines. One about phpbb and the other line is about the developer of the theme. Though I don't want to delete the footer, need to make the two sentences a single sentence. Could you please tell how to edit the footer?

    PS: I 've already edited the overall footer file and simple footer file. But it is the same yet, didn't work.. Please help me..Thanks..

    Once u have edited it .. you have to also purge the cache in admin panel.. phpbb sucks coz of this after every skin change u have to purge cache

    Not if you turn on the "Cache" templates option automatically in the ACP ;)

    Admin Panel -> General Tab -> Load Settings -> Recompile Style Components -> Yes

    If you do that, any changes made offline and uploaded via FTP will instantly take effect. Other than that you could make sure the styles directory is writable then use the code editor in the Admin Panel which actually isn't very good. :rolleyes:

    Hi guys, am new to phpbb so still can't understand how exactly to do these things. Yeah my styles is writeable and I have made the changes both in the theme styles and in the admin styles. But still it shows the same, Bohra could you please exactly tell how i have to take care of the cache..? Thanks for that...

    Admin Panel -> General Tab -> Load Settings -> Recompile Style Components -> Yes

    It doesn't really matter to be honest. You might as well keep it turned on so that if you want to make any quick changes in the future you can just download, modify and upload the changed files. No messing around with having to change any other settings etc...;)
