Ok, after a few brainstorm sessions I have think about creating a buzz on forums and blogs.. basically it's not very hard to realize it, it's just finding the right people who has a lot influence.. but who??

    1. Shall I giveaway a few licenses to reviewers? so they can write and spread the word of the software?
    2. Should I pay people to do it?

I am not familiar with these techniques so I hope someone could help me with this. Yesterday I have started a pre-order sale which DP members can buy the script for just $49 the first 5 days instead of $199, but unfortunately it does not give me the effect I thought it will have..

    Please help me out! Thanks

is this a client application? if so you need to have a pretty large installed base before users will really start to use it.

What do you mean with client application? You mean like a software for a dating company which will manage their members etc for matchmaking?

But basically plentyoffish.com is an online dating site with advanced search features, that's what I also offer to webmasters which can start their own (local)(niche)dating site with same features like the popular plentyoffish.com

    Hi,

I think that it is difficult to market before you have:

    1) A company site up and running
    2) A demo of the software
    3) Some reference sites

You probably should start soliciting some webmasters who might be willing to beta the software for you and provide you with feedback as well as potential references.

    Hope this helps,
    Rich

You should start an affilate program and post on numerous affiliate and internet marketing:cool: related forums.

    Hi,

Keep me informed of your developments. I am looking for new ideas for links.com and dating is one of the possibilities (along with SNS and directory), if I can come up with a niche that is suitable for my traffic.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

One element to creating buzz, is to have something new and exciting that is going to "solve" some pressing need in a market space. Is there an element to your script that is new and exciting and addresses some "need". If so, I would highlight these aspects in press releases.
