Hey guys. Many of you may have seen me around the contest forums before, but usually as the designer. I'm starting up a new company, to do local freelancing work. I want to start designing fliers and business cards and my website but I am having a REALLY hard time coming up with a good enough name. I had a name, which was Zike Studio. But everyone kept asking me what "zike" meant and where it came from, but the truth was I simply made it up cause it sounded cool at first. Well i want to scratch that idea. Then I came up with names Borderline Media, and ThinLine Media. To understand these names you have to understand what my company will be doing. It will include, but not limited to: All forms of graphic design (web design, logo design, print design, etc), 3D animation (like finding nemo, shit like that), Photography, and Video Production (commercials, advertisements, weddings, etc). So as you can see, my company pretty much covers the whole "Media" spectrum. Thats where "borderline" and "thinline" came from. Because I have such a thin line between what I do, since I do so much. Make since? If you think these names are good, please say so! But if you have another cool name please throw it at me. Im looking for either 1 of two things. 1 - A name that helps show what I do. I prefer it to end in "Media" or "Studio" but if you come up with something better, why not show me. Some type of name that will show that I do graphic design, 3d animation, photography, video production, etc. Or maybe some time of name that relates to the fact that i do everything media related. 2 - A name that doesnt resemble anything to do with graphic design, video production, etc, but rather a name that simple is very brandable and very catchy, but very simplistic and modern. Like "Sony." Regardless of how they actually got the name, the term "sony" does not resemble anything that Sony actually does, at least not to me. If someone comes up with a name or two that I like, I will pay them $6 via PayPal. If I honestly don't find any names that I like, Ill still pick the best name and give you $3. (yes i know, $3 isnt very much. but its a name! and if I said I wasn't going to pick a winner at all, you guys would all fear entering. Trust me I know, im usually the one entering the contests here.) So have at it guys! I'm really excited to see what you all will come up with
first of all, good luck with the new business. how about Studio10. 1 and 0 coming from the binar code, used in digital technology(digital studio)? or digilab/lab10... also, i think borderline media sounds better than thinline media. cheers!
thanks for the responses guys! i like the digi thing. and I also like the storm thing. no so sure about the 10 thing. not many people would get that. hm. ill be gone all weekend so ill try and come up with some stuff as well and see what u all think when i get back. in the mean time, just post ur ideas and if I see anything really good when i come back then ill give u the money. cheers.

Nothing useful to add im afraid, except dont go with 'borderline media'. Although i get where you are coming from, the term borderline when used without context suggests 'nearly there', so you have a company that essentially reads 'just about good enough media'!
