    Hi!

I am looking to build my new desktop, but I'd rather not assemble it myself. However, as a hardware noob, I'm not quite up-to-date on which hardware(s) are best for performance for price.

Please help me by creating a desktop here (click "Build my configuration" after you're done and copy and paste link) or here.

    Here are my specifications:

    AMD X2 6400 Processor
    SLI Compatible Mobo
SLI Dual GeForce 8500GT 512MB (2 cards) video card, or any card that you think will be well suited for me.

    About my desktop:

I will be using it mostly for web design, photoshop, browsing the web, and occasionally, some light gaming. (Starcraft, Counterstrike Source, COD4, etc.- NO crysis!) Thus, I care about speed more than graphics.

Please try to keep the setup under $700, as I will have to buy a OS (for a total of $800)

Let me see what you got! +rep to good builds. :)

all the prices are from india
so u might consider the prices to be 30-40% low in ur country.

    frankly speaking dude
    its utter nonsense
if u set up with a entry level SLi card
    go with this SLi motherboard
    AM2 X26400+ 205$
    Asus M2N4 SLI 135$
    about the gfx card
well if u r on a tight budget & wanna run those listed games
    then get a Galaxy 8600GT 512MB GDDR3 , make sure its GDDR3 for 156$
u can play all the games in high settings
    also u can play crysis @ mid settings & @ 30 fps :D
cabby get a zebronics peace for 40$
    PSU :- get a coolermaster RP600WATT for 90$
    the rest config is
    Samsung 920NW for 250$
HDD western Digital 250 GB for 70$
    RAM :- kingston 1*2 GB DDR2 800Mhz for 60$

    thats it
    so it comes for 1000$
so keeping the prices down to 30-40% from indian prices
    its 700$ approx for u
    & good deal

    this following one's also good,
    but 8400GS ain't a good card,
    so if u can get this system & get a 8600GT for 100$ , then a gr8 performance
    just imagine 8 GB RAM
