    Hi all,

I've been lurking around for a bit. This is a great site, with lots of good info and nice people.

I worked for a HUGE company for six years. Quit and went back to school for an mba. I was working as a consultant this past summer and ended up quitting a six figure job because it was boring and the people were pretty shady.

I came to the conclusion that I need to work for myself. With that goal in mind, I'm trying to turn my simple shoulder surgery site, slaptear.com into the place for sports medicine on the internet. I've learned some great stuff here over the last few weeks and I'm hoping to be able to give back at some point.

    Cheers,
    Andy

Welcome to DP :). I'm not very active, but I also enjoy this site.

    Welcome Andy,
I'm new here too... Just starting to look around the site... Though I've been distracted trying to get a site started. Hopefully Digital Point will be able to help both of us out.

    Welcome, Andy!

Working without the help of "the man" is definitely the way to go. haha.

As long as you find a passion for what you do, work hard at it and have mucho patience, you should do well. You may seriously want to look into Site Build It. I've been using it for over a year now and it's changed my life for the better.

Good luck and have a lot of fun! ;)

    Welcome, Andy.

Head on over to the AdSense forum, and post your site there.

First thing people will tell you, though, will be to do blend the AdSense ads on your site to match the design.

    Thanks!

I run a small site but it's exciting when stuff starts to work. I had my best ever day yesterday, first time over 1000 page views and over 100 visits...
