Hi, all my pages except for my home page are in googles supplemental results. I really need your help -- to analyze and see if the probelem is on my end and what steps I should take. The URL is: eyegoodies.com I have had a google site map since July. Thanks and I appreciate any suggestions or comments.
Links. The supplemental index is not the "hell" it once was. With the new crawling/indexing at least part of the criteria is the number and type of links that helps to determine what index your pages are placed in. Work on building quality IBL's and you'll likely see more of your pages join your homepage in the RI. Dave
Once again here is matt cutts video about suplemental results this might helpful http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3494613828170903728&q=matt+cutts+%2B+supplemental+result&hl=en
The supplemental index is an auxillary index. When a query is made, Google first checks its' regular index. If they do not come up with enough results (1000) they use the supplemental index to fill the query. Dave
Hey there... Site looks clean, link profile is fine. Was tere any major structural changes lately? Did the Google SiteMap have any warning?
Nope, no major changes lately. Right before I uploaded the google sitemap (July 11-- the date all those pages have as cached) I had all the home page and all the main categories and subcategories indexed, but no product detail pages indexed), but they werent. supplemnental. Google site map had no warnings. Than i did the google site map, and around the the end of july I think all my pages ended up spplemental. The date that most of those pages have as the caced date-- coincides with the date I first uploaded my site through google sitemap. Do you think I have any potential over optimiztions on some product pages or product detail pages? I do repeat word in the meta keywords alot on these pages. Do you think the vaious pages are unique enough that they shouldnt be counted as duplicate? Or do u think it is largely a in coming link issue.
