help me add sidebar to this simple site

Well you see i have midlle collumn, i want to add sidebar on left.
How do i do that?

What i need to add to my CSS and then how do i implement it to left sidebar?

Please tell me codes and i will fix it.
I just need basic codes and rest i could find on internet

Also another bit of advice is try not to use tables as much instead style it using a stylesheet will help with a lot of problems and also help the design.
