Now, again I have installed new GA code at the website.....I dont know...is it correct or not? But I have very very very good rank at Google.com.. I am doing offpage properly..and onpage is perfect....Although, I am loosing my traffic... You can check the website from my signature links.... Please please give me suggestion about it.... Help me... Thanks Maketick
I think there may be some problem in your content part. Try to re-write your content & replace with the new.
What's your site? I have the signature links turned off Try going to http://www.google.com/insights/search/#date=1/2011 12m&cmpt=q - put in you topic or niche and see what is trending/hot and select your relevant category, start with images and add some to your site use correct meta properties for you images, name your image your-niche-photo-name.jpg and again try to use something that is hot and trending right now - to do this use the link above and search for the past 7 days for hot topics. I say use images as a basis because no one does this and it's easier to dominate in image search before you dominate in serps. If you blog or use wordpress it's much easier - if you aren't blogging - then start to. Secondly - start linking your old content to your new posts and pages, write a new topic using the tips above, then go back through your older pages and update them - do this by linking to your new page (note: make sure old page/post is relevant to new one) - by doing this Google will see that you've updated two pages and internal linking to your new and old page gives an instant boost to both pages/posts. Include a thumbnail and link on your new and old post also - again make sure your thumbnail has meta properties (like alternate name, description etc.) Use Google Trends: google.com/trends - see if there's anything relevant there to your niche and start another post or page - Google crawls these topics pretty quick and it's easier to rank for these - the panda effect is greatly in effect here. Hit me up for more hints if ya like
Nice site and design, are the blog posts unique? One issue that I see is the front page is static - I would have a blog update on the bottom of the page - like a feed update. Preferably on the left as Google uses the first bit of text for your index page in Google results and if this is always updating Google will keep crawling your new content. Secondly: I would use "SEO Auto Links & Related Posts" Plugin to link the internal blog posts to each other, what it does is crawls your blog posts and links related posts - creating relevant links to your posts automatically within your posts. Awesome tool - and probably the best for SEO. Note: Turn off the related Posts feature - you only want Auto Links on. Note: Configure the Auto Links with "Auto Link per keyword" to 3 and the "related Posts to be compared" to about 40 (depending on your post count - the default is like 100 and that's way to much and slows down your server.. Third: Related Posts Slider - use this to put related posts at the bottom of your posts and again this creates internal linking. Four: Add a Recent Post Widget to your Blogs sidebar on the right... just have the text link and say 5 recent posts - this gives them an initial hit and Google will find them much quicker. These methods will pick your dead posts up from the grave and have bots crawling all over them again. Keeping them indexed and fresh. Don't be surprised to see a little decline initially in traffic as Google will have to dance on your site and regather the information to gauge the value of your posts and site again.
Hi, This is a very very useful reply....Yes all blog post are unique.... Will you please give me more information about "SEO Auto Links & Related Posts"? Is it free tools?
Yup sure... just search for it in your install plug ins area in wordpress admin "SEO Auto Links & Related Posts" search that exact term and install it... Follow these instructions: Note: Turn off the related Posts feature - you only want Auto Links on. Note: Configure the Auto Links with "Auto Link per keyword" to 3 and the "related Posts to be compared" to about 40 (depending on your post count - the default is like 100 and that's way to much and slows down your server.. you will see these in the plug in options when you click on the plug in. You will see it working instantly as it turns related text into links on posts.
maketick: Okay, this is something I've worked at for a very long time. You need to look at the following as webmaster analytics doesn't tell you everything: 1) Which page is showing up in analytics- it you've had one visit, it may be that only that page is giving a result 2) If you've been checking your site in your browser yourself, you'd show up on the analytics report. I'm hoping that that will allay some of your fears- you said you're ranking for relevant keywords and I'm guessing your ranking hasn't changed that much (keep in mind that a 1st rank on google gets about 60% traffic and 2nd place gets 40%, 3rd about 15%), so if your ranking hasn't changed, then you're fine. Next, is the phone still ringing and new emails coming through? If they are, then it's a glitch in analytics. Now you need to go into Google webmaster tools, rather than analytics, which will tell you which keywords generated the traffic, whether those keywords are on the rise or the fall etc. You need to use webmaster tools in conjunction with analytics, which will give you true feedback about the site. I've given Google a quick once over and it's giving me 446 indexed pages from your domain. You rank for "Software Product Engineering" on page 2 of Google.com at my end (position 13). Note that they keyword combination "software product engineering" is not in the main body of your home page's text. Looking deeper into the home page, the issue I have is the lack of any indexable text or content that Google can refer to and rank your site against- hope that makes sense!). The main issue I see is the lack of keyword combinations that relate to sufficiently high ranking traffic sources- software product engineering gives me all of 226 global monthly searches and 46 state side- which is to put it bluntly squat all! SaaS production and variants of that keyword combination provide litte viable data either. I would therefore suggest using Google's keyword tool (adsense tool) in conjunction with your prior knowledge of your industry to refine your keywords to a point where there is a higher probability of traffic being available. You then need to change your site to reflect these keywords and get relevant keyword rich backlinks for these combinations (without spamming) I also suspect that your domain is quite new (under 6 months old) and would suggest that it ranked very well for a lot of different keyword combinations 5 months ago. These would have been whittled down over the past few months as google's spider checked to see what people searched for, clicked on your site for and stayed on your site for- this is where webmaster tools will give you a "heads up!". In effect, if that's the case, then you need to find keywords that bring results and build backlinks and on page seo for those specific keywords. The next six months will be the toughest part of building your website, but should I hope bring in the traffic that you need (ie conversions). I'd also note that the industry you're in took off about the same time that you launched your site, so you have far more online competitors now than you did 6 months ago.
Compare the previous month and current month traffic.. And Identify the where you loss your traffic. It's best way.. I hope google analytic have all the options..
Awesome explanation... Thanks for giving me the suggestion, I am working on keywords as per your comment.... Again I checked domain age... created date is 2nd Jan 2007.....6months ago we changed the design.... At present we are on 50 keywords...24 keywords are showing at 1st to 10th rank of Google....
