Help: May I replace my site name "www.***.com" in Search Box to "This Site"?

    Hi,

    I am a Adsense publisher and I have a question need your help.

    I just creat a website which I want to publish Adsense on, it is my first time to use Search Adsense function.
    After insert the search code to my site (it is still under construction now), I found a problem. The name of my site is too long to appear in the Search Box and will affect the look of my site, so I want to do simple modification on it, that is:

    To replace my site name "www.********************.com" to "This Site".

    I will not do any modification besides this, but still I am afraid that it will violate Adsense policy.
    Could you please tell me that if it is permitted to do this?

    AFAIK you can..

    I was seen a lot of sites with modified Search Box (applied css and stuff)

    Like this site

    But if you still have a doubt create a Google custom Search engine (http://www.google.com/coop/cse)

    This will give you every right to change the code, along with several other benefits. And yes you can monetize and add these custom search engine to you website it self like this site .
