First of all don't worry about the PR

Secondly any downtime host change affects at least for a few weeks the Backlinks/SERP ...

I don't quite understand the from keyword.com you go to heyword.com/keyword thing but if you changed structure then need to build new links

Thank you w3bmaster for your comment it was because i changed hosting to godaddy and put on a shared plan with another site of mine so it had to have something after the domain to know what file it was in on the hosting account if that makes sense?? i didnt think it would lose the pr and backlinks for this!!! will i get them back?

    Thanks B.

Well if you changed the structure like that, you will lose the backlinks and PR. keword.com is a different site than keyword.com/keyword.

I would probably do a 301 redirect of keyword.com to keyword.com/keyword. The backlinks won't show up for keyword.com/keyword, but the rankings should pass from keyword.com to keyword.com/keyword with just a slight loss.

No, you cannot get back what is lost, however you can start promoting and link building for your site. Make sure you have relevant and high authority backlinks as soon as possible. This will help you get higher in rankings too. BTW what was your pagerank, that you are so worried about, it is just another tool implemented by Google which I think is not so important if you are aiming for high rankings ;)

If you have a webmasters tool from google, you can change your site settings to maintain your page rank.
