Hey guys.. about 5 months ago I bought hosting with a member from DP (wont say name as of now because I believe it was just a little mistake) but my site and his site has been down for 4-5 months. When I first realised that my site and his were down I figured that the billing would stop. But I just got another payment request by paypal for 6 dollars.

I looked into it and this has been occuring for the past 5 months? What do I do and how should I get into contact with him?

The easiest way of going about it would be to open a PayPal Dispute Resolution for each transaction you wish to be refunded (hat is, if you have already tried contacting the seller).

    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/securitycenter/sell/SellerGuide-outside

You are certainly lucky that it was only $6 per month that you lost, and you are also lucky you paid via PayPal.

You should never really buy hosting which is not through a contractual agreement and sold buy a stable and transparent well established company unless you actually know the person you are buying it from preferably in person so you can resolve such issues quickly.

Bluehost is only $6/Month and they are an extremely good value host with great uptime - I've used them and recommended them to people on several occasions. They also have 24/7 Live chat/email/free phone support. Check Bluehost.com for the specification and also check the CEO's blog to see the company is indeed well established and very transparent.

I would contact the seller and see if he will refund. Also be sure to go to paypal, search you're account history for 'recurring transactions' and then make sure that you cancel the payment.

Reccuring payments are sometimes hard to find... Go to Profile > then it's on that page
